N55 turbo leaking,,,,,we have seen the turbo leaking oil before,,,,I have other posts about the turbos,,,,,but this is the first time we have seen water leaking from the turbo,,,,,we first thought the turbo coolant lines we leaking and dripping around the turbo,,,,so we re sealed the coolant lines and o-ring,,,,,that didn’t fix it,,,,we checked it out further and found the turbo coolant housing has a slight crack,,,,,it really started to leak the hotter the turbo got,,,,due to when metal expands

    • The turbo coolant leakage could be the pipe or it could be the o-ring seal leaking at the fitting hard to say,,,,your drivetrain alert I would need fault codes to try and find out what’s wrong with your car

Thanks, we have fixed the coolant return pipe, it’s seems as if the catalyst or exhaust is blocked as the is less emissions from the exhaust even when u press the accelerator,

Could it be the pressure back to the turbo that caused the pipe to crack and starts to leak?

I will be taking the car in to diagnose the Drive train problem

      • No I don’t think the back pressure caused the coolant pipe to leak,,,back pressure would cause intercooler, turbo or charge pipe issues,,,,why do you think you have a back pressure issue now,,,,is the check engine light on?
