I know this is old news for some of you guys,,,,but there still are some E65 drivers out there that like their cars,,,,ok the unit in the back is the VVT module,,,,this model controls the valvetronic motors,,,,but you have to watch out because this modules gets its power from the IVM module.
The IVM module is also in this box,,,,it’s green in color,,,,the IVM module it just a relay and fuse module,,,,which then sends power to the VVT module,,,,the VVT also gets a signal from the DME for operations information,,,,this VVT module can just fail one valvetronic motor internally,,,,and your problem may not be the valvetronic motor but the VVT module,,,,good news no programming for the VVT module,,,,it’s just a power supply module.
